قراءة القصص في مراحل مبكرة من الطفولة تنمي اللغة والخيال والمعرفة لدى التلميذ، فالقراءة متعة بحد ذاتها.
مع قصص هذه السلسلة "حروفي في قصص" يتمكن الطفل من القراءة، خاصة أن هذه السلسلة تحتوي بشكل أساسي على نصوص سهلة واضحة مبسطة. تستعمل هذه السلسلة كمقدمة للأحرف الأبجدية، يتعرف من خلالها التلميذ على: أشكال الحرف وأصواته في مراحل الروضة، وهي تشكل مادة أساسية لمراجعة الأحرف في المراحل الابتدائية.
سيلاحظون، الأهل والأساتذة الذين يشاركون الأطفال قراءة هذه المجموعة، الفائدة والمتعة والتسلية بالبحث عن الحرف الملون والتمعن في أشكاله المختلفة حسب موقعه في الكلمة.
يستطيع التلميذ من خلال هذه المجموعة أن:
1-يقرأ قراءة مبسطة سهلة وواضحة.
2-يبحث عن الكلمات التي يبدأ بها الحرف المحدد لكل قصة ويعددها.
3-يبحث عن الحرف الملون وأشكاله المختلفة حسب موقعه في الكلمة (في أولها- في وسطها- في أخرها).
4-يسمي الصور بالكلمات التي تحتوي على الحرف المحدد لكل قصة.
5-يقارن الحروف وأصواتها الطويلة والقصيرة.
6-يكتشف معنى الكلمة حسب موقعها في الجملة.
7-يقوم بأداء حركة محددة مثلا: "التصفيق، الوقوف، لفظ الحرف..." عند سماعه كلمات الحرف.
8-يستخرج الكلمات التي تبدأ بصوت محدد ويرسمها.
9-يعيد استخدام الكلمات المستخرجة في جمل خاصة به.
10-يمثل القصة مستخدماً الكلمات الخاصة لكل حرف.
وإضافة إلى هذه الأهداف ننصح باستخدام هذه المجموعة كوسيلة للمطالعة خلال العطل المدرسية والعطل الصيفية.
