كريستين بويه، ولدت في هامبورج عام 1950, درست الادب الالماني والادب الانجليزي وكتبت بحث الدكتوراة في حقل البحث الادبي. عملت كمدرسة في هامبورج. وبعد تبنيها لطفل توقفت عن التدريس وبدأت الكتابة. نشرت أكثر من 60 كتاباً للأطفال والمراهقين ، ترجم العديد منها الى كتب عالمية.

تسلّط القصة الضوء على الواقع المأساوي للأطفال في سورية في ظل الحرب الدائرة اليوم وكانوا هم أولى ضحاياها؛ فهي رسالة إلى العالم أجمع لإنقاذ الطفولة من براثن الأنظمة والحكومات ولرفع الصوت عالياً والقول: كفى.
وهيَ القصّةُ الحقيقيةُ لرهف ذات السّنواتِ العشرِ، وشقيقها "حسن" ذي السّنواتِ التسعِ. يسكنُ "حسن" ورهف معَ أبيهما وأمِّهما في قريةٍ ألمانيةٍ صغيرةٍ. وبالطّبعِ، تسكنُ معَهُما أيضاً شقيقتاهُما الصغيرتانِ أمل وهيا، ولكنَّهما لا تزالانِ في الثالثةِ والرّابعةِ منَ العمرِ على التوالي؛ ولذلكَ لا يمكنُ اللعبُ معَهما كما ينبغي.
فيما مضى، كانَتْ رهف و"حسن" يسكنانِ في مدينةٍ أخرى؛ مدينةٍ تُدعى «حمص» وتقعُ في بلدٍ آخرَ يُدعى سوريّة. إلا أن الطائرات أتت... لتحيل عالم الأطفال إلى شيء آخر لا يشبه الطفولة في شيء، عالم عنوانه: الموت والدمار والدم والتشرد والهجرة...
هاجرت رهف وعائلتها إلى ألمانيا، وقد أصبحت تتقن الألمانية كالعربية تقريباً، وصار لها أصدقاء، إلاَّ أنها بقيت تفكر في أصدقائها وأقربائها في سورية، وتشعر بالحنين إلى بلدها؛ وصوت بداخلها يقول لها: حتماً، الغدُ أفضلُ.
قصة شجيّة عن الفرار والوصول. موجهة للأطفال بدءاً من 6 سنوات ولجميع الأعمار. جاءت باللغتين الألمانية والعربية، لذلك هي قصة تعليمية تساعد الأطفال على تعلّم اللغتين على السواء، وفي الملحق قائمة بالكلمات والجمل الأساسية لتعلم الألمانية والعربية.
