إن القرآن الكريم خصيصة هذه الأمة الإسلامية رفع الله به شأنها، وأعلى مكانتها، فهو كتاب الله المبين، الذي لا تنقضي عجائبه، ولا تنفد غرائبه، ولا يأتيه الباطل من بين يديه ولا من خلفه (كتاب أحكمت آياته ثم فصلت من لدن حكيم خبير).
والأمة الإسلامية أدركت مكانة وأهمية كتابها العظيم، الذي يمثل بالنسبة لها دستوراً ومنهجاً، وقد اختار الله عز وجل من أبناء هذه الأمة رجالاً لخدمة هذا الكتاب الجليل، فكان شغلهم الشاغل، فأفنوا أعمارهم، وبذلوا مهجهم، في حفظ القرآن الكريم وتلاوته، وتجويده وترتيله، وشرحه وتفسيره، وإبراز ما فيه من الأحكام والحكم، والأخلاق، والآداب، والقصص والعبر، ثم تتبعوا ما فيه من جوانب الإعجاز اللغوي والبلاغي، وغاصوا في تأويل متشابهة وإحكام محكمه، ولم يأل بعضهم جهداً في إعرابه وتخريج قراءاته، والوقف عند لطائف عباراته، ودقائق إشاراته، إلى غير ذلك مما يصب في معين البيان الإلهي المعجز.
وقد حوى تفسير النبهاني صفوة ما في هذين التفسيرين العظيمين متميزاً بوضوح العبارة وبساطة الأسلوب. أما عن ذكر الإسرائيليات فقد تميزت أصول هذا الكتاب بالإقلال من ذكرها وتمحيص الروايات وتفنيدها، والابتعاد عن كل ما خالف الشرع الحنيف، على أنه لم يخل هذان التفسيران البيضاوي والجلالين من ذكر بعض الروايات الإسرائيلية كقصة الغرانيق وغيرها، مما يخالف عصمة الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام.
الإمام يوسف النبهاني: هو العالم الراسخ المتقن المتفاني بمحبة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المكثر من مدائحه تأليفاً ونقلاً ورواية وإنشاءً وتدويناً, ناصر الدين يوسف بن إسماعيل النبهاني, ولد بقرية اجزم شمال فلسطين, وبها نشأ وحفظ القرآن على والده إسماعيل. شيوخه: تلقى العلم عن كثير من أئمة العلم في الأزهر الشريف ومنهم يوسف البرقاوي, مؤلفاته: كثيرة منها: جامع كرامات الأولياء, رياض الجنة في أذكار الكتاب والسنة, وغيرها. وفاته كانت سنة 1350هجرية.
