إنّ الصّلاة عماد الدّين، والعُرْوة الوثقى بين العبد وربّه، بها يَحْيى المسلم ويتقرّب إلى مولاه، وهي أوّل ما يُحاسب العبد عليه، فَبِصلاحها تصلُح الأعمال، وتتنوّر القلوب، وتستقيم الجوارح.
لذا، فعلى المسلم أن يُحْسِن أداءها، بالتفقّه في أحكامها، وتعلّم ما يحتاج إليه أو يعرض له أثناء تأديتها.
ومن جملة هذه الأحكام أحكام السهو وترقيع الصلاة، وأحكام المسبوق وإستخلاف الإمام لعُذْر.
والكتاب الذي بين يديك كَفيل ببيان كلّ ذلك بحيث إنّه ما من شاردة ولا واردة إلاّ ذُكِرت فيه مع ما يتخلّل فصوله من مسائل عديدة يحتاج إليها المصلّي إماماً كان أو مأموماً أو فذّا كتذكر صلاة أو صلوات فائتة أثناء الحاضرة أو من أُقيمت عليه صلاة وهو في صلاة.
