في مجموعته الشعرية هذه، يكتب عبد العزيز أبو لسه عن تفاصيل الأشياء الصغيرة والعابرة، ربما هي إيماناً من الشاعر بأننا جميعاً عابرون ليس إلا، تلك الأشياء التي لا يراها سوى الشاعر الذي يمتلك حساً خاصاً بها، ويتعامل معها على أنها حقيقة موجودة. هكذا تنفتح الشعرية على تجليات التجارب الإنسانية والذاتية اللصيقة بإنسان العصر، يكشف عنها المعنى في صور تتوالى عبر التكرار لتصل إلى ذروتها المطلوبة، حيث تشد القارىء إلى معانيها المبثوثة في سياق كل قصيدة.
تحت عنوان "شغف" يقول الشاعر أبو لسه:
"كالمزارع في الفجر / عطر التراب علا كاحليه / وراحت يديه / خلال الحقول تدسّ الحكايات / كي يزهر الحلم ظلاً عليه / كالمزارع في الليل ... / يشدو قليلاً لأطفاله / ثم يغفو قليلاً ويرثي لأحواله / ثم ينصرمُ الليل مبتسراً كالألم / ثم يصحو الحلم / والمزارع من يولج الحبّ في الحبّ / من يقرأ الماء للماء / ويشتعل الملحُ في مقلتيه".
تضم المجموعة أربعة وعشرين قصيدة نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أثاث" ، "نملة" ، "رعاة على رسلهم" ، "ثمانية لموت صغير" ، "مشهد" ، "نصف نمرة" ، "شرفة" ، "شغف" ، "غربة" ، "بكاء القرنفل" ، "لجدي الأعلى" ، "صهيل" ، "فردشة" ، "حديث الحنطة" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
