هذه هي الطبعة الثانية من هذا الكتاب القيم "مختصر صحيح الإمام مسلم بن الحجاج" الذي يعتبر مع صحيح الإمام البخاري، أصح كتب السنة المطهرة الشريفة.
وقد اختصره الإمام المحدث الشيخ عبد العظيم المنذري. وقام بتحقيقه ناصر الدين الألباني. مقصراً التعليق على ما رآه كافياً.
والواقع أن قول المحقق كان رداً على ما جاء من رسائل وفتاوى وأقوال تزعم بأن سيدنا (عيسى عليه السلام)، سوف يحكم بالمذهب الحنفي عندما ينزل في آخر الزمن، مستدلين على ذلك بقصة حلم رواها مجهول يقول ببقاء أقوال مذهبه محفوظة في صندوق في نهر جيحون وفيه ما علمه أبو حنيفة للخضر. وقبل أن ينزل عيسى يرفع القرآن والعلم، فيذهب عيسى إلى النهر حائراً ويطلب العلم من النهر فيتخرج له يد فيها صندوق العلم الذي أودعه الخضر النهر مما تعلمه من الإمام أبي حنيفة عليه رحمه الله.
