(قواعد تحقيق المخطوطات)، وهو العنوان الأشهر والأوضح إلا أنه خلاف الأَوْلى، وأهل الإختصاص يعرفون ذلك مما سيأتي بيانه، ولكن رجعت عنه وكتبت (قواعد تحقيق النصوص) فهو الأصح والأصوب والأكثر دقة.
فقد كتبت عن قضايا تحقيق المخطوطات وفهرستها في المنتديات عبر الشبكة العنكبوتية، وسجلت مادة صوتية، وعملت عدة دورات تدريبية، ولكن لا غنى عن الكتاب، فقد طلب مني غير واحد ومنهم أحد الدكاترة من أهل العراق أن أحرر - ما تفرق مني هنا وهناك - في كتاب ليُنتَفَع به؛ فاستجبت لذلك بعد طول غياب، وفي يوم من الأيام وضعت هذه القواعد كل قاعدة بتغريدة في صفحتي في التويتر؛ فوجدت الناس مقبلون على معرفة المزيد، ويرغبون الشرح والتفصيل، فاستخرت الله تعالى وتوكلت عليه أن أعمل هذا الكتاب الذي بين يديك، وإن كانت المادة الصوتية التي عملتها سابقاً كانت للمبتدئين بعنوان (كيف تحقق مخطوطاً للمبتدئين؟).
