يتضمن هذا الكتاب تحقيق لكتابين الأول: التوجيه المختار في نفي القلب عن حديث اختصام الجنة والنار للإمام برهان الدين ابراهيم بن حسن الكوراني المدني الشافعي (1025- 1101هـ). والثاني: كتاب نجاة الهلك في بيان معنى مالك الملك للإمام شمس الدين محمد بن رسول البرزنجي المدني الشافعي (1040- 1103هـ).
يدور موضوع الكتاب الأول حول حديث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في قوته: "تحاجت الجنة والنار، فقالت النار: أوثرت بالمتكبرين والمتجبرين، وقالت الجنة: مالي لا يدخلني الإ ضعفاء الناس وسقطهم؟
أما الباب الثاني فيدور حول قوله تعالى: "قل اللهم ملك الملك تؤتي الملك من تشاء وتنزع الملك ممن تشاء وتعز من تشاء وتذل من تشاء بيدك الخير إنك على كل شيء قدير". وفي كلتا الحديث، والآية الآنفين الذكر عمل المحقق على شرح ألفاظها، وكشف عما تضمنته من المعاني اللطيفة، والحكم العديدة، ونثر فيها من فوائده ما سنراه مبثوثاً في محله.
وتتجلى أهمية الكتاب بحسب "العربي الدانز الغرياطي" من كونه تفسير وبيان لمعاني كتاب الله، وتبين لمراده من عبيده، وهذا أجل القرب والطاعات، وهو على العلماء الراسخين من آكد الواجبات.
