المباحث الثلاثة هي التي تتعرض لها هذه الرسالة العظيمة في قدرها، والقيمة في مقدارها، والعميمة في نفعها، فقد تكلمت عن إطلاقات الأمر، والنهي، والاستفهام، بأسلوب فريد، يدرب على استخراج تلك المعاني، ومعرفة العلاقة والقرينة اللتين بررتا خروج تلك الصيغ عن معانيها الأصلية.
وتكمن قيمة هذه الرسالة في أن مؤلفها إمام من أئمة اللغة العربية والعلوم الإسلامية في العصر الحديث، شهد له بالتفوق شيوخه وأقرانه، ودلت هذه الرسالة على تضلعه في تلك العلوم.
وتحظى هذه الرسالة بأهمية كبيرة تتمثل فيما يلي:
1-أنها تشتمل على ثلاثة مباحث مهمة، يتنازعها علمان جليلان هما: علم أصول الفقه، وعلم البلاغة، وقد صيغت لتكون أقرب إلى أصول الفقه، وهي فعلاً من أقسام الكلام التي هي من مباحث الكتاب.
2-أنها تطرقت لأكثر المعاني التي تخرج لها صيغة الأمر والنهي والاستفهام، وبأسلوب مختصر وواضح، بعيداً عن التشعبات والخلافات.
3-أن هذه الرسالة انفردت بالنص على العلاقة والقرينة في كل مثال ورد وعلى كل معنى خرج، ووضحت ذلك توضيحاً كاملاً، وبأسلوب واضح ومبسط، ومع أن بعض كتب الأصول قد ذكرت للأمر والنهير معاني أكثر، إلا أنها لم تهتم ببيان العلاقة والقرينة إلا في ما ندر، اكتفاء بمعلومات القارئ البلاغية.
4-ذكر العلاقة والقرينة وتفصيلها بهذا الأسلوب مفيد جداً للتدرب على استخراجهما من الأمثلة التي تذكر، وعليه فإن لهذه الرسالة من اسمها أوفر الحظ والنصيب، فهي تشحذ الأفهام، وتدربها على استخراج العلاقات والقرائن وفهمهما.
5-لم يكتف الشيخ بالمعاني الواردة للأمر والنهي في كتب الأصول، وإنما ذكر بعض المعاني البلاغية التي لم يتعرض لها الأصوليون، مثل: الالتماس والتمني في النهي، وغير ذلك مما يعلم من خلال تحقيق هذه الرسالة.
ولعظيم قدر هذه الرسالة قام المهدي الحرازي بخدمتها، وذلك بالتعريف بمؤلفها، وبيان أهميتها، وتحقيق اسمها، وعرضها على مناهج البحث الحديثة، وتوثيق نصوصها، والتعليق على مسائلها، وترجمة أعلامها، وإخراجها في حلة قشيبة تسر الناظرين.
