نظمت هذه القصيدة في مناقب أم المؤمنين عائشة رضي الله عنها اشتملت على ذكر فضائلها وفضائل والدها أبي بكر الصديق ومجادلة الخصوم المبغضين لها المتقولين عليها. ومحاجتهم بالدليل من الكتاب والسنة في إيمان صادق ودفاع حار. وبالواقع التأريخي الذي لا نزال فيه من سيرتها العطرة وسيرة أبيها الخليفة الأول رضوان الله عليه، وكل ذلك بأسلوب بارع وبيان رفيع، ونظم محكم متين، وإلى هذا وبقطع النظر عن كل اعتبار، فالقصيدة تعبر عن عاطفة إنسانية رفيعة لأنها تتخذ موقف المساندة بجنب سيدة شريفة أثناء أزمة هي أعنف أزمة يمر بها امرأة في حياتها، فتنافح عنها وعن كرامتها حتى تحتفظ لها بسمعتها الطيبة وذكرها الجميل.
ومما أبر به صاحب هذه القصيدة أنه جعلها على لسان السيدة عائشة نفسها، فبعد المطلع الذي يوذن بمقصوده تخلص في البيت الثاني إلى إعطائها الكلمة، فجعلها هي التي تناظر وتفاخر وتدفع في نحور الأعداء بسلاح الحجة والبرهان الذي يطوقهم الخزي والعار. فلو أنها رضي الله عنها نطقت فعلاً بشعر في الموضوع لما زادت على ما احتوته هذه القصيدة، وهي من هي قوة بيان وشدة عارضة.
وهذا مما يدل على بلاغة منشئها، ومقدرته البيانية وتمكنه من صناعة الشعر، فضلاً عن رسوخ قدمه في المعرفة بعلم الحديث والسيرة النبوية والتاريخ وسائر العلوم الإسلامية".
