رواية شذرات، هي بالفعل شذرات، حيث يحاول بطل الرواية أن يكتب مذكراته، آلامه و أوجاعه و أحلامه ايضا، كان يريد ان يبدأ كما بدأ دستويفسكي روايته بقوله: إن كاتب هذه المذكرات وكذا المذكرات نفسها هي بطبيعة الحال من صنع الخيال. لكنه نظر الى نفسه وما عاشه، فرأى الخيال فعلا، فقرر أن يكتبه، قرر أن يغوص في أعماق ذاكرته ولم يخشى الندم، حاول ان يكتشف الحقيقة، حقيقة ما يجري، أين أنا؟ من أنا ؟ ماذا أنا ؟ ولماذا وكيف وغيرها، فقرر أن يحلّق بأسئلته، خاصة وانه كان معاصرا لزمن ما يسمى ب"الربيع العربي" عندما وقعت في يده ورقة من جريده تحمل اخبار القتلى والجرحى وسقوط المدن والدول العربية، فثار وسأل، ثم طار، حلّق بسرعة إلى الأعلى لكنه نزل بسرعة أيضا، نزل عندما عرف أن في الأعلى هنالك سيوف من علامات التعجب قد كسرت رماح علامات الاستفهام لديه، وجرحته في لسانه، فحمل أمتعته ثم عاد.
الرواية مكونة من فصلين، الفصل الأول بعنوان "شذرات" والفصل الثاني بعنوان"خطئ نفسك" .
