وعلى أن في العمل ما قد يغري الناقد بالخوض في حديث الأجناس الأدبية، وتقنيات السرد، وأساليب الترسّل، وقضايا النحو، وطرائق التعبير، إلاّ أنني أجتزئ بتوجيه النظر إلى جوهر الخطاب فيه ولبّ الألباب منه، وهو هاجس الوصل بين شقّي النفس، وهاجس الوحدة المقدسة بين ضفتي النهر. فذلك هو غاية المرام والمقصد الأسمى للكلام، وخاصّة في مثل هذه الأيام المدلهمة التي تعيشها أمتنا، وأمام ما يوهنها من أسباب التمزّق وما يُراد لها من أسباب الهوان..
ومهما يكن الأمر فإننا مع رمضان الرواشدة في "النهر لن يفصلني عنك" أمام عمل أدبي يستجيب لأعماق نداءات الوحدة بين الأردن وفلسطين، وأمام صورة جميلة من صور الوعي غير الملتبس باستحقاقات هذه الوحدة التي هي مطلب كل عربي حرّ. ذلك هو لباب هذا النشيد، وبيت هذا القصيد. وحسبُنا به غايةً حين تلتبس الغايات، ومُراداً حين تصطرع الإرادات.
