فالأول: إمام أهل السلف المتمسكين بما كان عليه الأولون، ومنهم الإمامان: محمد بن إدريس الشافعي، وأحمد بن محمد بن حنبل.
والثاني: إمام مذهب أهل الرأي، والمتمسك بمذهبهم الحنفي أول أمره أيضاً، ثم نجده في رسالته هذه تبع النهج الذي كان عليه أوائلهم: مثل الإمام أبي حنيفة، وأبي يوسف.
كما ستراه أمام عينيك، وتلمس ما قصداه لمس اليد، مما يدل على وحدة هذا الدين الجامع للناس على القضايا المهمة للعباد، فيما ينفعهم في دينايهم ودينهم، وأهم ذلك الصلاة حتى يلاقوا ربهم وهو راض عنهم.
