اللقاءات الشهرية، التي ينظمها منتدى الفكر العربي بواقع لقاء شهري واحد في المتوسط، جزء لا يتجزأ من نشاطه الفكري. فهذه اللقاءات تشكل-جنباً إلى جنب مع أنواع النشاط الأخرى للمنتدى من مؤتمرات وندوات وحوارات- وسيلة فاعلة لتحريك المياه الآسنة في حياتنا الفكرية والثقافية، وللتواصل الفكري مع الجمهور المتعطش للمعرفة والتوعية والسجال الفكري.
ولما كانت اللقاءات الشهرية في سنة 2003 قد زادت كماً ونوعاً، فقد رأى الأمين العام لمنتدى الفكر وجوب جمعها بين دفتي هذا الكتاب الذي بين يدينا وهو الأول في سلسلة اللقاءات الشهرية" وهكذا فقد ضمنه عشرة لقاءات تتحدث عن نفسها بنفسها، فالمكتوب من عنوانه, وكلها نصوص كاملة، باستثناء اللقاء الثامن الذي اكتفى هنا بنشر ملخص موسع له فقط، بناء على طلب من الأستاذ المحاضر.
وفيما يلي ذكر للعناوين التي تم طرحها في هذه اللقاءات المشروع النهضوي: مدخل حضاري، الصراعات الداخلية العربية: رؤية في الأسباب والدوافع، دور الأمة الحضاري في عالم مضطرب استراتيجية الأمن القومي الأمريكي، الحرب على العراق نموذجاً، الوضع العربي: المستقبل المنظور، الحاكمية المالية والتحدي الكامن في العلاقات القائمة بين الولايات المتحدة الأميركية ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة، المستجدات السياسية في آسيا الوسطى بعد الحادي عشر من أيلول/سبتمبر 2001، اللقاء الثامن: 6 آب/أغسطس 2003، عصف ذهني: العراق ومستقبل المنطقة، الأمة والإشكالية الحضارية.
