هذا الكتاب هو عبارة عن تعليقةٍ لطيفةٍ على كتاب "فضل الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم"، للإمام القاضي المجتهد إسماعيلَ بن إسحاقَ بن إسماعيلَ بن حماد بن زيد الجَهْضَمِيّ الأزدي، الذي حققه الشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني الدمشقي.
وقد دفعني لكتابة هذا الإستدراك كثرةُ ما وجدتُ في هذه النشرة من الأوهام، فقد راجعتُ الجزءَ مراراً وتكراراً فوجدته يعجُّ بالأخطاء والسواقط والتحريفات، فمن ذلك: أولاً: أغلاطٌ في مقدمة الكتاب، ثانياً: أخطاءٌ وتحريفاتٌ في أسانيدِ الأحاديثِ ومتونها، ثالثاً: أخطاءٌ في الحكم على الأحاديث الواردة في الجزء، رابعاً: قصورٌ واضحٌ في تخريج أحاديث الجزء وبيان مظانها.
وقد تكلمتُ في هذا البحث على هذه الأوهام بالتفصيل، وخرّجتُ الأحاديثَ من مصادر الرواية بحسب الطاقة، ثم قسمته إلى ثلاثةِ فصول، إذ جعلتُ تخريجَ الأحاديث مقروناً بمناقشة الشيخ الألباني في الحكم عليها.
