محمد تقى مصباح يزدى در سال 1313 هجرى شمسى در شهر كويرى يزد ديده به جهان گشود. وى تحصيلات مقدماتى حوزوى را در يزد به پايان رساند و براى تحصيلات تكميلى علوم اسلامى عازم نجف شد; ولى به علت مشكلات فراوان مالى، بعد از يكسال براى ادامه تحصيل به قم هجرت كرد. از سال 1331 تا سال 1339 ه.ش در دروس امام راحل(قدس سره) شركت و در همين زمان، در درس تفسير قرآن، شفاى ابن سينا و اسفار ملاصدرا از وجود علامه طباطبايى( محمد تقى مصباح يزدى در سال 1313 هجرى شمسى در شهر كويرى يزد ديده به جهان گشود. وى تحصيلات مقدماتى حوزوى را در يزد به پايان رساند و براى تحصيلات تكميلى علوم اسلامى عازم نجف شد; ولى به علت مشكلات فراوان مالى، بعد از يكسال براى ادامه تحصيل به قم هجرت كرد. از سال 1331 تا سال 1339 ه.ش در دروس امام راحل(قدس سره) شركت و در همين زمان، در درس تفسير قرآن، شفاى ابن سينا و اسفار ملاصدرا از وجود علامه طباطبايى(رحمه الله)كسب فيض كرد. وى حدود پانزده سال در درس فقه آيت الله بهجت مدظلّه العالى شركت داشت. بعد از آن كه دوره درسى ايشان با حضرت امام به علت تبعيد حضرت امام قطع شد، معظّم له به تحقيق در مباحث اجتماعى اسلام، از جمله بحث جهاد، قضا و حكومت اسلامى، پرداخت. وى در مقابله با رژيم معدوم پهلوى نيز حضورى فعّال داشت كه از آن جمله، همكارى با شهيد دكتر بهشتى، شهيد باهنر و حجة الاسلام و المسلمين هاشمي رفسنجانى است و در اين بين، در انتشار دو نشريه با نام هاى "بعثت" و "انتقام" نقش داشت كه تمام امور انتشاراتى اثر دوم نيز به عهده معظّم له بود. سپس در اداره، مدرسه حقّانى به همراه آيت الله جنتى، شهيد بهشتى و شهيد قدوسى فعّاليّت داشت و حدود ده سال در آن مكان به تدريس فلسفه و علوم قرآنى پرداخت. از آن پس، قبل و بعد از انقلاب شكوه مند اسلامى با حمايت و ترغيب امام خمينى (قدس سره)، چندين دانشگاه، مدرسه و مؤسّسه را راه اندازى كرد كه از مهم ترين آنها مى توان از بخش آموزش در مؤسّسه در راه حق، دفتر همكارى حوزه و دانشگاه و بنياد فرهنگى باقرالعلوم نام برد.
ايشان هم اكنون رياست مؤسّسه آموزشى و پژوهشى امام خمينى(رحمه الله) را از جانب مقام معظّم رهبرى برعهده دارد. معظّم له در سال 1369 به عنوان نماينده مجلس خبرگان از استان خوزستان و اخيراً نيز از تهران به نمايندگى مجلس خبرگان برگزيده شده است. ايشان داراى تأليفات و آثار متعددى در زمينه هاى فلسفه اسلامى، الهيّات، اخلاق و عقايد مى باشد.

يتمحور موضوع هذا الكتاب حول طبيعة المذهب الفلسفي الإشراقي الذي ابتكره شهاب الدين السهروردي في القرن السادس الهجري، والذي لا تزال إرهاصاته تلقي بظلالها على الحركة الفكرية والفلسفية المعاصرة، وبناءً عليه، يمكن إيجاز إشكالية البحث بالتالي: كيف نظرت فلسفة الإشراق إلى الله والكون والإنسان؟ وما هي الدعائم المعرفية التي شيّد على أساسها السهروردي لاهوته النوراني؟ وما هي النظريات الفلسفية والصوفية التي أبدعها وتفرّد بها؟ لا سيّما فيما يتعلق بالبنية المعرفية وإشكالية النور وعالم الأجسام والنفوس، ثم ما هي الأهداف التي توخاها واستطاع تحقيقها؟…
إنها محاولة لإعادة إحياء هذه الروح الفكرية، على أمل أن تكون قد أثمرت جديداً في حقل العلم والمعرفة.
The objective of this book revolves around the enlightenment philosophical method initiated and provided by Shihab al-Din Sahrawardi in the 6th century. His method still influences the contemporary philosophical movement, accordingly our research here focus on the following.
To begin with, the issue of how the illuminationist philosophy perceived God, the universe and human being will be highlighted. Then what were the pillars of knowledge which sahrawardi’s theological enlightenment built on.
Followed by the issue of what were the new Sufi philosophical theories which he created particularly the theoris which concern the essence of knowledge, light, material and Saul.
Finally we shall shed some lights on what Sahrawardi achieved of his objectives.
