هذا كتاب " المنتقى من مشيخة العز إبن الفرات الحنفي " ( 759ه - 851ه ) ، انتقاء العلاّمة كمال الدين محمد بن محمد بن أبي شريف المقدسي ( 822-906ه ) ، وقد انتقاها من " أصلها " الذي هو من تخريج العلاّمة الحافظ سراج الدين عُمر بن محمد بن فهد الهاشمي المكي ( 812-885ه ) ، وهو بخط المنتقي - الكمال إبن ابي شريف - وتحقيق الأستاذ محمد بن إبراهيم الحسين ، الذي يقدمها للقارىء من ضمن سلسلة الشيخ العلاّمة المسند الدكتور نظام محمد صالح يعقوبي العباسي .
يعرض الكتاب ترجمة وتعريف لمشايخ أو مشيخة العز إبن الفرات المصري الحنفي ، وبلغوا ( 104 ) شيخاً وعالم دين وقاضٍ ، نذكر منهم : ابراهيم بن أحمد بن إبراهيم بن فلاح بن محمد بن حاتم الجذامي الإسكندري الأصل ، الدمشقي المولد والدار ، توفي سنة ( 778ه ) بدمشق ، وإبراهيم بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن بدران بن شبل الزيتاوي النابلسي ، ثم المقدسي ، برهان الدين ، أبو إسحاق ، توفي سنة ( 772ه ) بنابلس ( ... ) وآخرون وجلهم من العلماء المسلمين الذين اشتغلوا بالفقه والعربية والتفسير والحديث وبرعوا في الأدب والشعر والقضاء والخطابة والسّماع والقراءة وغيرها من علوم الدين .
