يرتكز هذا الكتاب على الدعوة الحقة والصادقة التي جاء بها بني الإسلام محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه الذين اختارهم الله تعالى ليكونوا أنصار رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في العيس بالإسلام، وحمله إلى الناس، ودعوتهم إليه في حياته (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وبعد انتقاله إلى الرفيق الأعلى صلوات الله عليه وسلامه، وعلى أصحابه أجمعين. في الباب الأول من الكتاب يعرض المؤلف لمناقب أعظم رجل جاء إلى الدنيا؛ محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم اختاره الله تعالى، واوحى إليه بالقرآن العظيم ونقرأ فيه: نسب سيدنا محمد رسول الله، فضله في القرآن الكريم، وفضله في السنَة النبوية الشريفة، وفي الباب الثاني يعرض المؤلف لمناقب أصحابه الذين اختارهم الله تعالى أصحاباً لنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم، ووضعهم الله بما وصفهم به في كتابه العزيز، فكانوا برأي المؤلف وجميع المسلمين القدوة الصالحة للبشر في إتباع دعوة رسول الله. وفي الباب الثالث، يبين المؤلف ما يجب على المسلمين نحو نبيهم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وفيها الإيمان به، ووجوب طاعته، ووجوب محبته، الصلاة عليه، التحذير من سب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم والصحابة وعقوبة ذلك وأخيراً آخر لحظات سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذه الدنيا، وما وصَى به أمته...
ومن أقوال سيدنا محمد في صحابته: "الله الله في أصحابي، لا تتخذوهم غرضاً، فمن أحبهم فبحبي أحبَهم، ومن أبغضهم فببغضي أبغضهم، من آذاهم فقد آذاني، ومن آذاني فقد أذى الله، ومن آذى الله فيوشك أن يأخذه".
