بات الاقتناع يترسخ يوما بعد يوم بأننا نعيش « عصرا تاویلیا » ما فتئت معالمه تتشكل وتوجهاته تتوسع وتتشابك ؛ إنه عصر تهاوت فيه مقاييس نظرية وتراجعت فيه سلط معرفية كانت إلى أمس قریب تعد أسسا مرجعية في بناء الحقيقة وتداولها . اندرست الحدود بين العلوم والمعارف ، وطفق تقسیم آخر للعمل العلمي ينمو ويصمم هندسته الجديدة على غير هيئة هندسته المستقرة منذ أزيد من قرن . لم تعد ثمة أحكام قبلية تفاضل بين الحقائق وتبوئ بعضها مرکز السيادة على حساب بعض ، ولا ثمة نزوعات تقذف بجزء منها إلى هوامش المجاز والخيال . انبسطت « جغرافية » تجربة الحقيقة وترامت أطرافها لتغدو الحقيقة حقائق متعددة ومتنوعة بتعدد المجالات التي تنبثق فيها وتنوعها . أمسى من يدافع عن « حصانة » نوع من الحقيقة في مقابل هشاشة أنواع أخرى ، أو ويتخذ بعضها نموذجا معیاريا يقاس على يقينياته البعض الآخر أمسى كمن يتشبث إلى آخر رمق بوهم وحدانية تدحضها تجربة الحقيقة نفسها وتبطلها . لذلك ماعاد بالإمكان الاطمئنان إلى القول المقر بأن تجربة الحقيقة لا تخاض إلا على نحو مثالي واحد تنقاد له سائر الأنحاء الأخرى وترتد إليه ، ولا عاد من السهولة أيضا مجاراة القول القاضي بأن اختلاف الطرق الهادية إلى الحقيقة لا يوجب اختلاف الحقيقة في نفسها ، وبأنه لا يعدو أن یکون اختلافا في المظهر لا في الجوهر.
