وفي هذا الكتاب جمعت المحققة جميع القصائد التي رواها الأصمعي-نسخة الأعلم، ورواية المفضل-نسخة الطوسي، أما زيادات ملحق الطوسي والسكري وابن النحاس وأبي سهل فقد ذكرتها في حواشي القصائد، وكذلك أضافت الأبيات التي وجدتها في شرح المفضليات وحماسة البحتري وشرح مقصورة ابن دريد وزهر الآداب والعقد الثمين، وأضافتها في ملحق الكتاب. هذا وقد عنيت بترتيب القصائد حسب الرويّ والعروض.
