حياتي الفقيرة، المسروقة، المحروقة، المهتوكة، مثل حيوات أغلب السوريين، لم تكن إستعادتها سهلة عليّ، تعوّدتُ أن أطمسها لأحمي نفسي، وكان عليّ أن أرتق ثقوب ذاكرتي، وأرمّم مناطقها التالفة، أدخل دهاليزي ببطء، وأنكأ جراحي جرحاً بعد جرح، أنبش أسراري، وأبكي وأنا أحرّرها وأبصر على الأوراق خيبتي، والألم الذي يصرخ في أعماقي.
كنت امرأة من ورق، تنمّق تجارب الآخرين، وفي بيروت كتبت حكايتي، ووجدتني أحيا، وأجذب القرّاء بجرأتي، أنا الإعلامية، السورية، المهملة، التي اقتصرتْ معارضتي على الصمت والمقاطعة، وكنت أموت خوفاً، أن يسحبني الأمن من سريري بعد كل زلّة لسان.
