يصدر هذا الكتاب بمناسبة مرور عام على حصار قطر، ليبحث في عوامل متانة هذه "الدولة الصغيرة" التي تمكنت من تغيير مسار أزمة استهدفت قيادتها وسيادتها والقضاء على استقلال قرارها وإلحاق سياستها الخارجية بسياسة جيرانها "الكبار". فما عناصر قوة هذه الدولة؟ وكيف استطاعت أن تواجه حصاراً مضروباً عليها من أربع دول تفوقها بأضعاف مضاعفة في مجالات القوة التقليدية؟ فالفارق بين موارد المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات والبحرين ومصر من القوة الصلبة مثل التسلح والاقتصاد والمساحة الجغرافية وعدد السكان، وموارد قطر من هذه القوة فارق مذهل، ومع ذلك فشل الحصار ولم يحقق أهدافه.
