بعد عشرين دقيقة من إتصالها كانت عقارب الساعة تشير إلى الثانية عشرة، وكانت عقارب قلبه تشير إلى بوابة الدّخول لصالة الدور الأول في مطعم البيت السوري في بحري.
على كثرة وقع أصوات الأقدام الصاعدة والنازلة على الدرج المؤدي من الدور الأرضي إلى صالة الطعام في الدور الأول حيث يجلس سمع صوتاً فريداً ومُميزاً لوقع خطوات حذاء نسائي، فشعر على الفور يتناغم وإنسجام تأمين بين دقات قلبه، وبين ذلك الصّوت الذي تصعد صاحبته الدرج الرخامي في سرعة، ونشاط، شعر وكأن صاحبة تلك الخطوات تمشي على فؤاده، وتطأ بإقدامها فوق حناياه فانتبهت كل حواسه دفعة واحدة...
و... دخلت... في طرفة عين عبَّقَ في المكانِ عطر دالية صبية، وفاح في الجو أريج حديقة ورد، وتدثّر المكان بالإنبهار وتحوّل لون النهار إلى اللّون الأرجواني.
مئات السيناريوهات بشأن تلك اللحظة دارت في ذهنه قبل أن يلتقيها... إلا أنّ فرحاً فجائياً هطَل في داخله، فلم يبقى من أزمان ترقبه الطّويل إلا دهشة اللّحظة، وعنف شوق كاد يدفعه لولا خوف الملامة للإرتماء في حضن نظراتها، أو لضمها لصدر أشواقه، وإحتوائها بين ذراعي لهفته.
