معلوم أن الدراسات النقدية الحديثة، بعدما طرقت أبواب كثير من المناهج البعيدة عن طبيعة اللغة بإعتبارها نظام من العلامات اللغوية، اتجهت إلى مقاربة النصوص الإبداعية من منظور اللغة ذاتها.
ويعد تجاهل الجهد التراثي في هذا المجال من باب نكران الحقيقة، بل عدم تقديرها والعجز عن فهمها، فما قدمه الجرجاني في نظريته الأشهر، نظرية النظم، يعد فتحاً نقدياً نحوياً بلاغياً، يحتاج إلى من يتسلح بمعرفة حقة بأسرار اللغة المعجزة، اللغة العربية، وإن أي تجاهل لهذا الجهد ما هو إلا عجز عن الوصول إلى ما فيه من تميّز وعبقرية، وعليه ستحاول هذه الدراسة أن تبين أهمية نظرية النظم ومكانتها، وأن تكشف عن أثرها في تحليل النصوص وتجلية معناها.
ويعد هذا البحث محاولة بسيطة لجعل "نظرية النظم" منهجاً قائماً بذاته لمقاربة النصوص وتحليلها.
