إن كتاب "الجامع في القراءات العشر وقراءة الأعمش" لإبن فارس والذي يعد من الأصول المهمة لكتب القراءات، بل يعد متناً مهماً من متونها بين أيدي علماء القراءات وطلبة العلم لأول مرة محققاً مطبوعاً ولله الحمد.
والكتاب كما هو معروف بين طلبة علم القراءات من الأهمية بمكان؛ خاصة وأن ابن الجزري جعله من مراجعة المباشرة، وذكره وذكر أسانيد قراءته على شيوخه بمضمن هذا الكتاب، وأخذ من هذا الكتاب خمسة وثلاثين طريقاً كما سنبين بعد، لذا أحببت ان أحقق الكتاب وأُخرجه من المخطوط للمطبوع، كما هي خطتي في إخراج كتب النشر المخطوطة، ثم وقع لي قول إمام من كبار أئمة القراءات في العصر الحديث الدكتور أيمن سويد في سلاسله الذهبية حيث قال: "وأرجو أن يرى النور قريباً"، فزاد العزم على إخراجه تحقيقاً لرجاء شيخ القراءات.
فبدأت العمل على النسخة التي معي، حتى وصلني خبر تحقيق أخي الدكتور عبد الرحمن بن محمد العبيسي للكتاب ضمن رسالته للدكتوراة، فانتظرت حتى يخرج هو الكتاب، خاصة وعمله جاد جيد وإن كان بعض مما يصيب التحقيق من نقص، وطال الإنتظار ثلاث سنوات كاملة بعد إنتهاءه من الرسالة، فقوى هذا العزم على إخراج الكتاب.
