من المتفق عليه بين فقهاء المسلمين أن إقامة الصلاة تكون بإقامتين: إقامة باطنة: بأدائها بخشوع وحضور للقلب، وذل وانكسار بين يدي العزيز الجبار، وهذا هو روح الصلاة، وإقامة ظاهرة: بأدائها على الوجه الأكمل الذي أداه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أمام أصحابه، وبلغوه لنا، من شروط وأركان، وواجبات، وسنن دون زيادة أو تقصير. وهذا من تمام المتابعة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم القائل: "إن العبد ليصلي الصلاة ما يكتب له منها إلا عشرها، تسعها، ثمنها، سبعها، سدسها، خمسها، ربعها، ثلثها، نصفها".
وفي إطار النصح وتحذير الناس من الابتداع في الدين، لا سيما في ركن الصلاة، الذي هو أعظم الأركان بعد الشهادتين، يأتي الكتاب الذي بين يدينا والذي يضم بين طياته رسالتين دارتا حول هذا الركن، الرسالة الأولى "الحكم المبين في اختصار القول المبين في أخطاء المصلين"، وهي تتضمن شرحاً لرسالة "القول المبين في اخطاء المصلين" والتي هي من إعداد "أبي عبيدة مشهور بن حسن آل سلمان" حيث أفردها ليبين فيها أخطاء المصلين التي درجوا عليها من أحداث وأقوال، وأفعال مخترعة وفعل لبعض السنن، والأركان في غير مكانها. أما الرسالة الثانية فهي من تصنيف الشيخ "ابن باز" وهي تضم بين طياتها وصفاً دقيقاً للخطوات التي كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يتبعها عند الصلاة بدءاً من التكبير وانتهاءً بالتسليم.
