في كتابه (الصحيفة العلوية الجامعة) يجمع سماحة السيد "محمد باقر مرتضى الموحد الأبطحي الأصفهاني" معظم الأدعية المأثورة عن أمير المؤمنين الإمام علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه، وذلك من خلال البحث والتنقيب عنها في مختلف الكتب، وأنواع المؤلفات المعتبرة سيّما كتب الأدعية المعتمدة، نحو مصباح المتهجدّ، إقبال الأعمال، البلد الأمين، الجنّة الواقعية، وفلاح السائل، وغيرها، إضافة إلى الأدعية الموجودة في الصحيفتين العلويتين للسماهيجي، النور، وبدأ عمله بترتيبها وتبويبها بشكل متناسق مفتتحاً الكتاب بأدعيته (رضي الله عنه) في جوامع المطالب وخصوصها، ومن ثم أدعيته في الأوقات المختلفة، ثم من مختلف الأحوال المتنوعة، مع الحرص على إثبات متن صحيح سليم الدعاء، وذلك بالعمل على معارضة الأدعية بمثيلاتها الموجودة في الكتب والأصول المعتمدة، وإثبات الإختلافات الضرورية والإضافات اللازمة، إضافة إلى تخريج كلّ الآيات القرآنية بعد ضبطها على المصحف الشريف، وكذلك الإشارة إلى النصوص المقتبسة من القرآن الكريم، مع التوثيق الصحيح للأدعية من مظانها الأصلية...
