يجتمع في هذا الكتاب أربع رسائل اشتركت جميعها في المضمون، فكانت في مقارنة الأديان، فنجد الرسالة الأولى هي "مختصر الأجوبة الجلية لدحض الدعوات النصرانية" وهي للشيخ محمد بن علي الطيبي الدمشقي، وضعها كتبسيط واختصار لما ألفه الشيخ زيادة والمسمى بالبحث الصريح، أما الرسالة الثانية فهي له أيضًا ومن تصنيفه وسميت بـ"خلاصة الترجيح للدين الصحيح"، والرسالة الثالثة كانت للإمام الكبير ابن حزم الأندلسي واسمها "الرد على ابن النغريلة اليهودي".
أما آخر محتويات هذا الكتاب فكانت المناظرة التي دارت بين الألمعي اللوذعي الفاضل رحمة الله الهندي والقسيس فندر، وقد سجلها أحد الحضور وهو "عبد الله الهندي الأكبر آبادي"، وترجمها الشيخ رفاعي الخولي.
