ربما استغرب البعض هذا العنوان، لا سيما وأنه يأتي في زمان كثر فيه أدعياء العلم، والمصوّبون سهامهم غير متحرفين لقتال ولا متحيزين إلى فئة أهل الحق والإعتدال، وإنما هي طفرات الأقلام، ومراهقات أهل الغرور أو مذاقات أهل الهوى!...
وما أكثر الذين يقرأون الكتاب من عنوانه!!... ويصدون عنه قبل قراءة حرف واحد من تبيانه، بَلْه الإتيان على جميع فصوله وأبحاثه، والتعرف على حقيقة غاية كاتبه وواقع مقصده.
ألا أنها آفة وأية آفة، عرفتها جميع العصور، ولكنها في عصرنا أشد فتكاً وأقبح هتكاً، فبعضٌ لا يقرأون لأنهم لا يريدون القراءة، أو لم يعودوا يحسنون القراءة!... أو لم يبق عندهم متسع من وقت أو من إهتمام أو من إعمال ذهن في غير طائل من منفعة مادية عاجلة!!...
وبعضٌ لا يقرأون لأنهم يجهلون الكاتب أو يكرهونه أو لا يروقهم مذهبه وإتجاهه، أو لأنهم ألفوا أن يقرأوا لفئة مخصوصة من الكُتّاب بدافع حزبي أو مذهبي أو سياسي، أو مصلحي، أو غير ذلك من الدوافع التي تنتصب سدوداً منيعة وحُجُياً وضعية أمام أي عطاء من غير ذوي نحلتهم.
إن دلالة السياق منهج قريب من الطبيعة البشرية، أي أنه يمثل المنهج الفطري؛ بمعنى أن الإنسان ميّال بطبعه إلى أن يفهم عبارة النص في ذاتها، وعلى ما يتبادر منها إلى الذهن، قبل أن يسمع أو يقرأ أقوال الآخرين، وهو ما أشار إليه كثيرون، مثل الشيخ محمد عبده، وتبعه الشيخ حسن البنا، ومن قبلهما الشيخ محيى الدين بن عربي: من الإشارة إلى أن أفضل مفسِّر للقرآن هو القلب، وهذا بعينه هو ما أراده الزرقاني بقوله: أما المعاني العامة التي يفهمها الإنسان عند الإطلاق فهي قدر يكاد يكون مشتركاً بين عامة الناس، وهو المأمور به للتدبر والتذكُر، كما أنه المقصود من قوله تعالى: ﴿وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآَنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ﴾... [ سورة القمر: 17].
