قمنا بتأليف هذا الكتاب ليكون كتاباً منهجياً لطلبة المرحلة الثانية في قسم الصناعات الكيمياوية في المعاهد الفنية وفق مفردات المنهج المقرر.
يقع الكتاب في ثلاثة وعشرين فصلاً، وقد حاولنا فيه توضيح العمليات التصنيعية لمختلف الصناعات الكيمياوية ومنها صناعة المواد السيراميكية والأسمنت وحامض الكبريتيك والأسمدة الكيمياوية والورق واللدائن والأصباغ، وحسب الطرق التقنية إلى المتبعة حالياً في المنشآت الإنتاجية في القطر مع التطرق بشكل مبسط إلى أحداث ما وصل إليه العلم في الإصطناع الكيمياوي.
وقد تم دعم بعض العمليات التصنيعية بمخططات توضيحية مع شرح مفصل لها، بينما لم نتعرض للأخرى لغرض إتاحة الفرصة لزملائنا التدريسيين وأعزائنا الطلبة تتبع الشروح ووضع المخططات اللازمة لها.
