يعد كتاب "الحدائق الناضرة من أحكام العترة الطاهرة" لمؤلفه الفقيه المحدث الشيخ يوسف البحراني المتوفى سنة 1186هـ يُعدُّ مدونة كبرى ومجموعة فقهية في الفرائض والسُّنن تضم ما ورد من أقوال وأحاديث لائمة العترة الطاهرة صلوات الله عليه في الأحكام الشرعية.
ونظراً لأهمية هذا الكتاب بحيث أصبح بلغة الطالب ومنية الرائد وغاية المحدث، وذلك لإشتماله على جميع النصوص المتعلقة بكل مسألة تصدى لها الأئمة الأبرار انعقدت النية لدى سماحة السيد عقيل جمال الدين / المؤلف، لإنتقاء مختارات من هذا الكتاب الذي يقع في تسعة وعشرين مجلداً.
ويجد القارئ في (الجزء الأول) من المختارات أقساماً أربعة تتعلق بالصلاة، الزكاة، الصوم، والحج، إضافة إلى قسمين: يتضمن القسم الأول مختارات من أقوال الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، والقسم الثاني مختارات من أقوال الإمام علي رضي الله عنه التي ضمها الكتاب الآنف الذكر.
من أقوال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إذا حرم الله شيئاً حرم ثمنه"، "من آتاني زائراً كنت شفيعه يوم القيامة".
من أقوال الإمام علي رضي الله عنه: "المؤمن مؤتمن والإمام ضامن"، "القرآن كتاب الله الصامت وأنا كتاب الله الناطق".
