والخطة تحتوي ست وحدات، هي: الوحدة الأولى: تتناول الهمزة في جميع مواضعها، الوحدة الثانية: تبحث في الألف اللينة في آخر الكلمة. الوحدة الثالثة: تشتمل على الحروف التي تزداد في الكلمة. الوحدة الرابعة: تحدد الحروف التي تحذف من الكلمة. الوحدة الخامسة: تبين مواضع التاء المربوطة والتاء المفتوحة. الوحدة السادسة: توضح علامات الترقيم، ومواضعها في الجمل.
