إن شهر رمضان شهر كبير القدر، جليل الخضر، أنزل الله فيه القرآن هدى للناس وبينات من الهدى والفرقان. وأكرم الصائمين فيه باستجابة الدعاء وعموم الغفران. وهيأ لهم أسباب الطاعة فيه بفتح أبواب الجنان وتغليق أبواب النيران. وضاعف ثواب صومه مضاعفة لا يقدر قدرها إنسان إلى غير ذلك من الفضائل. حتى لقد جاء وصفه في بعض الأحاديث بأنه سيد الشهور. وكيف لا؟ وهو شهر تكثر فيه الخيرات ويعظم السرور، ويهذب الطباع ويلين العرائك. ويصير الصائمين أشبه بالملائك.
وهذا كتاب صغير الحجم، غزير العلم، كبير الفائدة، جمّ العائدة، يكشف لقارئه عن جوانب من فضل هذا الشهر العظيم ويبين عما ورد فيه من أنواع التكريم، وعما ورد فيه من آيات قرآنية وأحاديث نبوية شريفة، كما ويحتوي على فصول متعددة شُرح فيها أنواع الصيام؛ فضل السحور، قيام رمضان، ليلة القدر؛ علاماتها، ثوابها، كيف يراها الرائي، وهل يخبر بها من رآها إلى غير ذلك من المواضيع الهامة.
