يسرني أن أقدم للعاملين والباحثين في حقل الآثار الإسلامية كراسات لجنة حفظ الآثار العربية في ثوبها الجديد بعد ترجمة المتبقي منها من الفرنسية إلي العربية ومراجعة الكراسات السابق ترجمتها علي النسخة الأصلية الفرنسية وبذلك أصبحت الكراسات الأربعون التي دونتها اللجنة باللغة الفرنسية في متناول يد الباحثين غير الملمين بالفرنسية باللغة العربية وترجع أهمية هذه الكراسات إلي أهمية لجنة حفظ الآثار العربية اتلي حبا الله بها آثارنا الإسلامية فقد أخذت علي عاتقها منذ أن صدر مرسوم خديوي بإنشائها بالقيام بجهد كبير في سبيل المحافظة علي تراثنا الإسلامي المعماري والفني بحصرها للمباني القديمة ومعاينتها وتسجيل ما تراه اللجنة في عداد الآثار ونقل العناصر المعمارية والفنية التي لم تري اللجنة تسجيلها لعرضه في دار الآثار العربية ( متحف الفن الاسلامي).
