إن القرآن الكريم يتفرد بأن قارئه أو سامعه- مهما كانت فطنته ودرجة تيقظه- لا يستطيع أن يسبق النص القرآن باستشرافه لمعانيه وأغراضه قبل أن تطرق ألفاظة سمعه. تجد القرآن ينتقل بك سريعا بين الماضى والحاضر، ويجوز بك أسوار الواقع إلى آفاق المستقبل، ويقدم ويؤخر على غير ترقب، ويعدل بقارئه من التكلم إلى الغيبة، ويخاطبه وهو يتحدث عن سواه، إلى غير ذلك من وجوه التصرف، مما يجعله دائم التوقع لمغايرة فى النظم، تتوالد بها المعنى، وتتكاثر بها الأغراض.
والعدل عن الواحد إلى الجمع، أو مخاطبة الجماعة بخطاب الواحد هو لون من التصرف فى الصيغ، وفن من فنون الخروج عن ظواهر الأحوال، يفلجأ القارئ بما يفتح باصرته على لون من سامق البيان، ويفتح بصيرته على إقباس من اسرار الإعجاز، ويلقى فى ذوقه شوبا من بلاغة النظم الحكيم، وهو كذلك لون من ألوان المجاز، يصبغ الواحد بصبغة الجمع، فيكثر قليله، ويعظم حثيره. هذا الفن من فنون المجاز، وهذا الضرب من ضورب الإيجاز وذلك اللون من ألوان الخروج على خلاف ظواهر الأحوال، أين حظه فى حقل الدراسة البلاغية؟ وهذا الفيض من أسرار الإعجاز ما نصيبه من الدراسات القرأنية؟
ذلك ماتجيب عليه هذه الدراسة من خلال تتبع ما خالق الظاهر من صيغ الافراد والجمع فى القرآن الكريم، والكشف عن أسرار الإعجاز فيه.
