في هذا الكتاب سأسرد قصص بعض الأطفال الذين كانوا مميّزين في إنحراف ظروف حياتهم وتأثيرات ذلك في تشكيل شخصياتهم حتى حان موعد التقائي بهم وحين جمعتني الظروف والأقدار معهم وكيف عملنا سوياً على تطويع كل ما مرّ عليهم من صعاب إلى مرتكز وأرضية إيجابية لتصحيح أوضاعهم الشخصية والإجتماعية كبداية لتحولهم إلى مواطنين صالحين قادرين على نبذ الماضي الأليم والسلبي من حياتهم وبإرادتهم وذلك من خلال إعادة تأهيلهم لقبول أنفسهم وفهم واقعهم، وإعادة بناء أواصر جديدة وصحية مع هذا الواقع الذي عجز المجتمع والحكومة تصحيحه حتى وصلوا إلى مرحلة اليأس من إصلاح هذه الشريحة مع العلم إنّهم لم يقوموا بخطوات جدّية وفاعلة وحقيقية من أجل إصلاحهم لأنهم يعدّونهم في الخسائر ولا ينفع العمل معهم وأنهم تجاوزا مرحلة الإصلاح.
ولذا، أُهملت مشكلتهم وتُركوا في الشوارع وتم حبس قسم منهم وبإعداد كبيرة في سجون الأحداث من دون تأهيل أو برنامج إصلاحي حقيقي، وهنا تأتي مسؤوليتنا ودورنا تجاه شريحة مهمّة من شرائح المجتمع التي تم تهميشها بسبب سوء الإدارة وسوء إستخدام المال العام الذي أُهدر على أمور غير مهمة في الوقت الذي كان يمكن أن يغير حال هذه الشريحة ويحوّلها إلى عناصر منتجة وفعّالة في المجتمع لو أنه تم تخصيص ميزانية لهم تشمل التعليم والصحة والثقافة والبيئة ووسائل الترفيه، إذاً فنحن الآن أمام مشكلة إجتماعية خطيرة تحتاج منّا وقفة جادّة وأن نضعها في إطارها الحقيقي وإعطائها حجمها على أرض الواقع لكي يتسنّى لنا وضع خطة وحلول لها.
