ميلاد حنا من قبول الآخر إلى الانصهار الوطني لا يحتاج الدكتور ميلاد حنا إلى تقديم .. فهو مفكر شهير .. قادر على إثارة الجدل وتحرك المياه العقلية الراكدة خاصة في القضايا الخطيرة التى متهدد وحدة الوطن .. مثل قضية الأقباط والمسلمين في مصر وبفكرة الحر الذي يسع كل الدنيا تحت لفظ ( قبول الآخر) .. وكان اللفظ عنوان كتابه الذي ترجم إلى لغات كثيرة في العالم وحصل بسببه على جوائز دولية لم يحصل عليها مفكر مصري آخر. وفي هذا الكتاب يبحث الدكتور ميلاد حنا لفظا جديدا نتصور أنه سيلقى الانتشار نفسه الذي لقيه لفظ (قبول الآخر) وهو لفظ (الإنصهار الوطني).. فقد أصبحت تعبيرات مثل الوحدة الوطنية وعنصرى الأمة .. تعبيرات تكرس الطائفية وتؤكدها .. ولاتحل متاعبها .. ولا تطفئ حرائقها. والكتاب يأتي في وقته تماما.. في وقت أصبحت فيه المتاعب الطائفية ملتهبة وسريعة التعبيرة عن نفسها بعنف لأقل الأسباب ولأكثرها بساطة ولا تقول تفاهة .. فالحضارات تقوم على الاختلاف في كافة أمور الحياة.. ولا تقوم على التشابة وإلا حكم عليها بالتكرار.. والإنكفاء على الداخل .. ولكن الاختلاف لا يمكن أن يكون إلا بالإنصهار .. وتكوين سبيكة قوية من معادة صلبه لا يقدر عليها الزمن لا البشر.. خاصة في عصر يميل إلى ضرب الشعوب والأمم من الداخل بأسلحة الفرقة والفتنة. إن الدكتور ميلاد حنا كاتب لا يمكن إلا أن يقرأ ويسمع الناس بكل ما يكتب والأهم من المتعة هو الاستفادة مما يطرحونمن أفكار تتسم بالجرأة والشجاعة.
