دُوزِي (1235 - 1300 هـ = 1820 - 1883 م)
رينهارت بيتر آن دُوزِي Reinhart: pieter Anne , Dozy مشتشرق هولندي، من أصل فرنسي [كان أسلافه يسمون آل أو زي (( d , Ozy وأدمجت أداة الإضافة الفرنسية ( d) في الاسم عند انتقالهم إلى هولندة فأصبح الاسم (دوزي).] بروتستانتي المذهب.
هاجر أسلافه من فرنسة إلى هولندة في منتصف القرن السابع عشر. مولده ووفاته في ليدن.
درّس في جامعتها نحو ثلاثين عاما. وكان من أعضاء عدة مجامع علميّة. قرأ الآداب الهولندية والفرنسية والإنكليزية والألمانية والايتالية، وتعلم البرتغالية ثم الإسبانية فالعربية. وانصرفت عنايته إلى الأخيرة، فاطلع على كثير من كتبها في الأدب والتاريخ. أشهر آثاره (معجم دوزي - ط) في مجلدين كبيرين بالعربية والفرنسية، اسمه Supplement aux (Dictionnaires Arabes ملحق بالمعاجم العربية) ذكر فيه ما لم يجد له ذكرا فيها.
وله (كلام كتّاب العرب في دولة العبّاديين - ط) ثلاثة أجزاء، بالألمانية (تاريخ المسلمين في إسبانية) ترجم كامل الكيلاني فصولا منه إلى العربية في كتاب (ملوك الطوائف ونظرات في تاريخ الإسلام - ط) وله (الألفاظ الأسبانية والبرتغالية المنحدرة من أصول عربية) بالألمانية. ومما نشر بالعربية (تقويم سنة 961 ميلادية لقرطبة) المنسوب إلى عريب ابن سعد القرطبي وربيع بن زيد، ومعه ترجمة لاتينية، و (البيان المغرب في أخبار الأندلس والمغرب) لابن عذاري، وقسم من (نزهة المشتاق) للإدريسي، و (منتخبات من كتاب الحلة السيراء) لابن الأبار، و (شرح قصيدة ابن عبدون) لابن بدرون

رينهارت دوزي (1820-1883) مستشرق هولندي ذائع الصيت وأستاذ العربية في كلية الآداب في جامعة لايدن، وقد واشتهر بدراساته القيمة في تاريخ وجغرافية المغرب، وفي تاريخ الدول العربية في الأندلس وفي المغرب على السواء، ويعتبر مؤلفه "معجم مفصل في أسماء الألبسة عند العرب" المرجع الأوحد لأسماء الألبسة العربية التي لم ترد في "القاموس" وضعه المؤلف بعد دراسته المخطوطات العربية وتمحيصها ولا سيما المخطوطة الأصلية لرحلات ابن بطوطة وكتاب ألف ليلة وليلة وغيره من كتب التراث العربي القديم إلى جانب دراسته كتب الرحالة في بلاد العرب من المستشرقين.
هذا المعجم يعد الوحيد لأسماء الألبسة العربية ولا غنى عنه لكل مستشرق وفقيه وأديب وأستاذ.
