هذه وصية جامعة، ودرة لامعة، دبجها يراع إمام كبير، يعد من أبرز فقهاء الأندلس ومحدثيها، ألا وهو الحافظ القاضي أبو الوليد سليمان بن خلف الباجي المتوفي عام أربعة وأربعة وسبعين وأربعمائة، كتبها لولديه رجاء أن تقر عينه بهما، فيسيرا في خطى أهل العلم والصلاح، ويمتثلا طريق الهدى والرشاد، فيعملا بما أمرهما به من نصائح، ويحذرا ما نهاهما عنه من القبائح، مما يتعلق بأمور دينهما ودنياهما.
وتعد هذه الوصية من أبرز الوصايا التي كتبها العلماء، نظراً لاشتمالها على مواضيع كثيرة يحتاج المرء إلى من يذكره بها وينبهه عليها، لا سيما وهو يعيش في خضم هذه الحياة التي يزخرف فيها الشيطان للإنسان طرق الشر والفساد، ويجره أثناء غفلته إلى سبل الغواية والضلال.
وهذه الوصية وإن كانت موجهة من الباجي لولديه، فهي نموذج رائع لما ينبغي أن تكون عليه وصية كل مسلم لأبنائه، لما فيها من الدعوة إلى الخير، والتحذير من الشر.
وقد لخص فيها الإمام الباجي بأسلوبه السهل الممتنع مهمات الأوامر الشرعية، التي يجب على المسلم التزامها، وعدم الحياد عنها، معتمداً في ذلك على الآيات الكريمة، والأحاديث الشريفة، ثم عطف ذلك ببيان جملة من الخصال الكريمة، والأخلاق الحميدة التي يجمل عمل المرء حين يتحلى بها، كما بين كثيراً من أصول المعاملة والمعاضرة التي ينبغي مراعاتها في التعامل مع الآخرين، معتمداً في بيان ذلك على درايته بمقاصد الشريعة، وتجربته الطويلة في دروب الحياة.
وزاد هذه الوصية رونقاً وبهاءً وضوح العاطفة الصادقة التي تربط الباجي بولديه من خلال جميع ما وصى به، فهو الأب المشفق، والناصح الغيور.
