إن البغاء من أشد الصفات الممقوتة دينياً ونظاماً، تنقاد إليه النفس بالحبائل الشيطانية، ودوافع الغرور المقترفة بالذهول عن العواقب، فيجترئ الشاب أو الفتاة على اجتذاب الآخر إليه أولاً قرب المؤثرات وثانياً بالانهماك الذهني في ابتكار الحيل، وثالثاً بإتمام الجريمة التي أصر على اقترانها.
وهنا يبدأ الكيان الخلقي في الانهيار والتلاشي، وتنبعث عند هذا الطريق الجريء شرور التحريض والإغواء، وتتسع شناعة البغاء استباحة واستلذاذاً، لولا هما ما أقدمت النفوس الشريرة عليه، ولا تناقلت آثاره سيئات العادات ووسائل الفساد، يتلخص من ذلك أن الغرائز غير القويمة فطرية في النفس، وكانت تزجرها عنها سيطرة العدالة المهيمنة على الشعوب والأقوام. وكانت الحالة الاعتدالية تشجع هذه الهيئة المسيطرة في هيمنتها فبعد أن اتسع المجال بالهوان النفساني إلى هذه الدائرة السحيقة، ذاعت موبقات البغاء أينما وجد الإنسان عند تغلب الصفات البهيمية على القوة النفسانية المدركة.
هذا وان لكثير من علماء المصريين القدماء مباحث دقيقة في هذا الصدد، اقتطف منها في هذا الكتاب مجموعة، وذلك ليدل المؤلف على أن الشعور الذهني عند كافة الشعوب، يدعو إلى الفضيلة ويستنكر الرذيلة مهما اختلفت الأوضاع التشريعية والتقاليد القومية.
