يقدم هذا الكتاب تعريفاً بالجدار العازل الذي يبنيه الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في الضفة الغربية، ويوضح أهدافه المعلنة وغير المعلنة، ودوره في تعزيز الاستيطان وسرقة الأراضي ومصادر الثروة المائية، ويبيّن مخالفته للقانون الدولي في ضوء الرأي الاستشاري الصادر عن محكمة العدل الدولية.
كما يستعرض الكتاب المعاناة التي يتسبب بها بناء الجدار الإسرائيلي العازل في الضفة الغربية للفلسطينيين، بجوانبها المختلفة، من مصادرة الأراضي وهدم المنازل وتجريف المزروعات، علاوة على تقييد حرية الحركة والعزل على أحد جانبي الجدار، وما يستتبع ذلك من إضرار بالوضع التعليمي والصحي والاجتماعي والاقتصادي للفلسطينيين. ويفرد الكتاب فصلاً خاصاً للحديث عن الجدار المحيط بالقدس أو "غلاف القدس"، والذي يعدّ أخطر أجزاء الجدار؛ حيث يهدف الاحتلال من خلاله إلى ضم القدس وتهويدها، وعزلها عن محيطها العربي. كما يتحدث عن تجربة بلدة بلعين في مقاومة الجدار كنموذج بارز للمقاومة الشعبية الفلسطينية.
