Book Description
تُعدّ هندسة التحكم الآلي فرعاً من العلوم التكنولوجية، تُعنى بالتحكم بالعمليات الصناعية والأجهزة والمعدات، وتشغيلها الحاجة إلى مشغل بشري، ويُعدّ التحكم الآلي ملتقى المعارف الهندسية، إذ ينبغي مراقبة وضبط المتغيرات (المتحولات) التي تتفاعل في جميع العمليات الصناعية كي تؤدي المعدات والتجهيزات الوظائف التي شيدت من أجلها.
تدخل تكنولوجيا نظم التحكم الآلي في جميع النشاطات الصناعية، ونذكر من تطبيقاتها: محطات توليد الطاقة الكهربائية وتوزيعها، مصافي تكرير النفط، مصانع تعبئة المواد الغذائية، مصانع تعبئة العصائر، والصناعات الثقيلة مثل صناعة الإسمنت، والسيارات... إلخ.
كما أن لتكنولوجيا نظم التحكم الآلي دوراً كبيراً في تخفيف أعباء الحياة اليومية، فنجد تطبيقات التحكم الآلي في معظم الأجهزة المنزلية، مثل: التبريد والتكييف، التدفئة، الإنارة، التجهيزات المنزلية مثل الغسالات والنشافات... إلخ.
يمكن تلخيص دور نظام التحكم في العمليات الصناعية السابقة، بالتحكم بما يلي: الضغط، الرطوبة، الحرارة، اللزوجة، التدفق، التيار أو التوتر (أو الإستطاعة)، معامل الإستطاعة، السرعة، الموضع.
زودنا التطور الذي شهدته نظرية التحكم الآلي بالأدوات اللازمة للوصول إلى الأداء الأمثل للنظم المراد التحكم بها، وتحسين إنتاجها، لذلك يتوجب على مهندسي التحكم أن يتمكنوا من المبادئ الأساسية لهذا العلم.
يتطلب إستثمار وتطبيق نظرية التحكم الآلي إستخدام بعض العلوم المتممة مثل الدارة الإلكترونية التماثلية والرقمية، البرمجة، والشبكات الصناعية (Industrial Networks).
