يجمع هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه مجموعةً من أهم الموضوعات الإسلامية، فهو يحوي: العقائد الإسلامية على مذهب أهل السنة والجماعة، من الإيمان بالله تعالى ورسله الكرام، والإيمان بالملائكة والكتب السماوية واليوم الآخر، ووصف أحوال الموت والبعث والنشور والجزاء. ويتحدَّث عن القرآن العظيم وعلومه وآدابه وأحكامه، وعلامات الساعة الصغرى والكبرى. ويتحدّث عن الإيمان باللوح والقلم والعرش والكرسيّ. ثم يشرح القضاء والقدر، وهل الإنسان مسيَّـرٌ أم مخيَّـر. ويتناول مباحث أخرى ملحقة بالعقائد كرؤية الله، وعوالم الجن والسحر والأرواح. ويتحدّث عن الفرق المعاصرة الخارجة عن الإسلام. ويشرح المؤلف في قسم الفقه أسباب الخلاف الفقهي، ومراتب الفقهاء، ويذكر سيرة الأئمة الأربعة المجتهدين، ويتناول مجموعة مهمة من القضايا الفقهية المعاصرة التي دار حولها الجدل. وفي قسم السيرة يتناول سيرة سيد المرسلين محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم من مولده إلى وفاته، ومعجزاته وأوصافه وأهل بيته عليه الصلاة والسلام، ووقائع الإسلام وغزواته في عصر النبوّة. ثم يتناول سير 24 من الأنبياء والمرسلين عليهم السلام، وسِيَر الخضر وذي القرنين ولقمان الحكيم، ثم سِيَر الخلفاء الراشدين. ويختم المؤلف كتابه بمباحث في التصوف الصحيح، وتراجم بعض أئمته والمنتسبين إليه من مشاهير العلماء، ويجلو صفحةً مشرقةً من جهاد الصوفية في سبيل الله. ثم يتحدّث عن معاصي القلب واللسان والجوارح وعلاجها. وهذا الكتاب على ضخامة حجمه سهل اللغة، سلسٌ بعيدٌ عن التعقيد، غنيٌّ بالمعلومات المفيدة، ضمّنه المؤلفُ أفضل ما طالعه في أمهات الكتب الإسلامية. وقد دعّم بحوث الكتاب بالأدلة الشرعية المختلفة من آياتٍ وأحاديث، واعتمد كلام العلماء المعتبرين قدماءَ ومحْـدَثين لتجلية الموضوعات التي يُعالجها. فكان كتابه هذا مرجعاً لكل قارئٍ حريصٍ على ثقافة شرعية نقيـة.
