هذه مجموعة من الدراسات الّتي أعددتها خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية، تتناول مسائل وقضايا عربيّةً وأردنيّةً ما زالت تشغل بال المفكرين والمثقّفين العرب، وتثير الخلاف فيما بينهم، وتفرض نفسها بقوّة على مختلف الصعد.
وقد قسمت هذه الدراسة إلى وفصلٍ أربعةٍ كان للفصل الأوّل منها نصيب الأسد، فقد ضمّ ثلاث عشرةً دراسةً تناولت الفكر السياسيّ العربيّ ومراحل تطوّره وأبعاده المستقبليّة، والفكر القوميّ العربيّ، ومسألة الهويّة الّتي ما زالت مطروحةً على بساط البحث منذ بداية نهضة العرب الحديثة قبل قرنين ونصف القرن: هل نحن عرب أوّلاً، أم نحن مسلمون ومسيحيّون؟ وهل نحن مسلمون أوّلاً أم مسلمون سنّة وشيعةً وحوثيّون وعلويّون وإباضيون وموحّدون (دروز)؟. وهل نحن مسلمون سلفيّون أوّلاً أم سلفيّون وهَابيّون؟ وهل نحن أردنيّون وسوريّون ومصريّون وجزائريّون وقطريّون أوّلاً، أم نحن عمّانيّون وإربديّون وكركيّون ودمشقيّون وحلبيّون وإسكندرانيّون؟...
وهل ننتمي إلى عشائرنا وقبائلنا أوّلاً قبل الإنتماء إلى أوطاننا التي تحوّلت إلى دولٍ مستقلّةٍ ذات سيادة؟...
هذه أسئلة تطرح بعنف وإلحاح في جميع بلادنا العربيّة بعامةٍ، وفي تلك الّتي تعاني من الحروب الأهليّة كالعراق وسريّة وليبيا واليمن بخاصّة؟...
وتتناول هذه الدراسات أيضاً إنعكاسات إتفاقيّة سايكس - بيكو الّتي أبرمت بين بريطانية وفرنسا سنة ألف وتسعمئة لإقتسام المشرق العربيّ وتقطيع أوصاله وتجزئته إلى كيانات سياسيّةٍ عديدة.
وتدور هذه الدراسة حول المحاولات العربيّة الفاشلة في التصدي لهذه الإتفاقية وتغيير الحدود الّتي رسمتها للكيانات السياسيّة العربيّة، كما يضمّ الفصل دراسةً عن نكسة حزيران، وتأثيرها في الثقافة العربيّة، مثلما يضمّ دراسةً عن الأمن القوميّ العربيّ بين الطموح القوميّ والواقع القطريّ، ودراسة عن الليبرالية والعلمانيّة وعلاقتهما بالدين.
