في اللافتة الشعرية الأولى التي يستهل بها الشاعر مجموعته (رقصات على الماء) والتي تتمظهر كبنية إهداء يعلن "جاسم صفر" عن مشاعره جهرة: "المشاعر لا تقبل القسمة" دونها" .. أصل الكلام "منها وإليها" .. وبالتأكيد هو يعني المرأة، كحالة قائمة في الحياة، وحين تسكن هذه الحالة وتتلبس الذات الشاعرة يصدر أحلى القصيد. يقول الشاعر: "قلبي هنا / يسكن جذور دمك / يشرب حتى ثمالته / حين يتداخلُ حتى نبرة صوتكِ / أشتعلُ بالمضيِّ / إليك أيها الحاني بلا منتهى / أصادرُ عينيَّ / جهاتك البرقُ والغيمةُ / ليعانق حضورك هطول الدفءِ / ويحتويك ...". بهذه النبرة التساؤلية الرومانتيكية الشعرية الخالصة، يبني الشاعر جاسم صفر يوتوبياه الشعرية، حيث تتموضع القصائد في جدل (التماهي) مع الآخر / المرأة بوصفها ذاتاً ، وحلماً ، يعيش به، ويحيا ، ولا "تشبه أحداً".
يضم الكتاب قصائد متنوعة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "أغادر مدن النساء" ، "سيدة مواسم الفرح" ، "الجمر والحريق" ، "أنت المعاني" ، "سيد جرحي" ، "نوافذ المطر" ، "سمسافة" ، "حلم لا يأتي" ... الخ.
