إن علم النحو من العلوم الجليلة القدر، فعن طريق مراعاة قواعده يستطيع المتحدث باللغة العربية أن يقوم لسانه، ويفصح عما يريد. ومن هنا جاءت أهمية الكتب التي تتناول شرح اللغة العربية، فالكتب التي تشرح قواعد اللغة العربية كثيرة، ولكن القليل منها يراعي عقلية المتعلم المبتدئ، فيتلمس طريقاً سهلاً يصل من خلاله إلى فكره ويأخذ بيده ليطلعه على جمال اللغة العربية من خلال قواعدها.
ومن هنا جاءت أهمية هذا الكتاب الموجود بين أيدينا الآن، حيث اهتم مؤلفوه بالعرض المبسط للقواعد التي تناولوها فيه، فقاموا بذكر التعريفات الواضحة للمصطلحات، وأكثروا من الأمثلة المألوفة والسهلة في تركيبها، كما ذيلوا كل باب بكثير من التمرينات حتى يتمكن الطالب من اختبار مدى تحصيله القاعدة، كما ختموا الكتاب بتدريبات وتطبيقات عامة، بالإضافة إلى كل هذا، فقد حرصوا على تضمين التدريبات والتطبيقات العامة نصوصاً نثرية وشعرية مختارة بعناية تحمل كلماتها مفاهيم وقيماً سامية يجب أن يتعلمها الطلاب.
والكتاب يحمل في الأصل هذا العنوان: "أصول البلاغة، تطبيقات لفهم الكلمات وتعريفها"، وهذا العنوان من الواضح أنه لا يشير إلى محتوى الكتاب، فالكتاب يتناول قواعد اللغة العربية (الصرف والنحو) ولذلك فقد رأيت أن أضع له عنواناً يوضح محتواه، فقد أسميته: "من روائع النحو التعليمي"، وربما يلتمس بعض العذر لمؤلفيه فربما نظروا إلى الغاية من وراء تعلم قواعد اللغة العربية، فعن طريق مراعاتها يستطيع المتحدث أن يفصح عما يريد في لغة سهلة واضحة، وربما نظروا إلى كثرة النصوص المختارة والتي ضمنوها الكتاب، ولذلك اسموه بالاسم المشار إليه.
