Book Description
L'auteur, Shams ad-din Muhammad Ibn Ahmed Ibn Uthman le shafiite, est connu sous le nom de dhahabi.
Il est ne a Damas en l'an 673 hegire (1274 JC). Il a suivi l'enseignement d'illustres savants du Sham (grande Syrie), d'Egypte et du Hijaz. Il a visite plusieurs villes et centres islamiquues, il a recu un enseignement diversifie, etudiant plusieurs branches des sciences religieuses, et plus specialement les lectures coraniques et le hadith. On l'a cite comme modele pour sa capacite de memorisation, le surnommant: << L'iman vivant en matiere de memorisation >>.
Il a occupe diverses fonctions a caractere scientifique a Damas. Lorsqu'il devint aveugle, en l'an 741 hegire, il a cesse d'ecrire des livres et s'est consacre a l'enseignement, jusqu'a sa mort, le 3 du mois Dhul-qida 748 hegire (1348 JC); il a ete enterre au cimetiere <
Facile a aborder, cet ouvrage traite des 70 peches majeurs a eviter afin de rendre clair, en consequence, le chemin de la foi et du bon comportement. Certes, la foi s'exprime a travers un modele de comportement sincere qui se corrige tout le long de la vie. Ainsi l'agir devient conforme aux directives divines, et a la conduite du Prophete (صلى الله عليه وسلم).

Il s'agit de tout ce que Dieu et Son Messager ont interdit dans le Coran et dans la Sunna ainsi que ce qui a ete considere comme tel par les predecesseurs vertueux (as-salafs as-salih) parmi les savants de la communaute musulmane.
