ومما يميز هذا الكتاب أن المؤلفين لم يهتموا بالجوانب النظرية فقط في رعاية الأطفال المعوقين عقليا بل اهتموا بجانب ذلك بتزويد الكتاب بأمثلة من الأنشطة التي تضمنتها برامج عملية نفذت في الواقع.
