أبطال القصة أشخاص من الطبقة المالكة والنبلاء يسعون لاستعادة المملكة والحصول على الحب يتعرضون لأهوال ومصاعب ينتصرون بعدها على الشر الذي أسقط المدينة بيد الأعداء وفرق أفراد الأسرة بين مقتول ومخطوف وتكتمل القصة عندما يلتمّ شمل العائلة المالكة ويعود كل إلى مكانه الطبيعي ويقضون على العدو الخارجي ويصلحون أمر الحكم يتخلل القصة جرائم متتالية لقاتل مجهول يمعن القتل في طبقة النبلاء حيث يضطر الأمراء إلى هجر البلاد وتبرز فكرة المثولوجيا التي تعيد كل الأفعال والأحداث إلى القدر المتحكم بجميع أبطال القصة.
