نذر هتلر نفسه للنضال منذ نشأته ولم يستهدف غير تحقيق أغراضه في السيطرة والحكم. وطبيعي في رجل هذا شأنه أن يميل إلى الفن العسكري بكل جوارحه لأنه الوسيلة المثلى لبلوغ مراميه. ومن أقواله في شخصية: "أنا رجل عسكري، وقد كنت دائماً جندياً، وليس في وسع احد أن يدرك رسالتي وعملي في هذه الحياة إذا جردهما من صفتهما العسكرية. ولعل أشد القرارات وقعاً في نفس، ذاك الذي اتخذته سنة 1919م بترك الخدمة في الجيش لأشتغل بالسياسة، بعد صراع عنيف طويل دار في قرارة نفسي".
يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن سيرة حياة أدولف هتلر الحربية منذ بداية عمله السياسي في أوائل القرن العشرين وحتى وفاته. وفي هذا السياق يقدم مؤلف كتاب (هتلر الغازي) "ريمون كارتيه" للقارئ. صورة أخرى للفوهرر الألماني الذي لم يعرفه الناس إلا من خلال كتابه "كفاحي" فيقول عنه: كان الفوهرر كثيرا الشكوك والظنون، وقلما وثق بأحد من معاونيه، ولعل هذا ما جعله يستقل في إدارة دفه القيادة العليا ويمسك وحده بأزمة مقدرات ألمانيا...".
وعلى هذا يغطي الكتاب جميع غزوات هتلر ومنها الهجوم على بولونيا سنة 1939 والهجوم على فرنسا، وهزيمة الألمان على عتبة موسكو، وماذا كان هتلر ينوي صنعه بروسيا، ويشرح أيضاً "لماذا لم يغز هتلر انكلترا.. وكيف انقذ موسوليني موسكو من هتلر إلى آخر ذلك من أسرار حروب هتلر...
